Alumni Referral Scholarship
This scholarship was established to offer Alumni the opportunity to do two good deeds at once, help a deserving student and help the Admissions Office recruit an exciting class. The Alumni Referral Scholarship is a grant of $1,000 renewable for four years as long as the full-time student maintains academic progress. Alumni can help a student save as much as $4,000 during the course of their studies at Medaille.
Any prospective freshman or transfer student may be nominated prior to their application to the college and by the posted deadline below. Students must be attending the Buffalo Campus and must be enrolling in undergraduate studies. Students will not be considered who have made application for admission, have been accepted, or have already been offered financial aid. A student may only receive one Alumni Referral Scholarship.
An alumnus may only refer one student per academic year. Alumni must complete the Alumni Referral Scholarship Form (Adobe PDF) prior to the student submitting an application or by the posted deadline:
- Freshmen - December 15
- Fall Transfer Students - July 1
- Spring Transfer Students - November 1
The Alumni Admissions Coordinator will review all nominations which meet the above criteria and will contact all students receiving the scholarship. For more information or a copy of the Alumni Scholarship Referral form contact either:

Anna Illuzzi Palano Memorial Scholarship
The Anna Illuzzi Palano Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually by the Medaille College Alumni Association. This Scholarship is named in honor of the late Anna Illuzzi Palano, a member of the Class of 1972 and former president of the Alumni Association. Factors considered in judging applicants include financial need, scholastic ability, participation in activities, personal initiatives, and community involvement.
Applicants must be in the Spring semester of their Freshman, Sophomore or Junior year. To apply please complete the
scholarship application (Adobe Acrobat Reader required). Applications for the 2010 - 11 academic year are
due March 1, 2010. Completed applications can be delivered to the Office of College Relations at 73 Humboldt or mailed to Medaille College, Attn: Anna Illuzzi Palano Memorial Scholarship, 18 Agassiz Circle, Buffalo, NY 14214.

Allen Lee Downing Memorial Scholarship
Students aspiring to become leaders in the business world, with a strong passion for and commitment to the service of others are encouraged to apply for the Allen Lee Downing Memorial Scholarship.
Scholarships will be awarded to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled full-time as declared business or management majors who have maintained an overall GPA of 3.0 or entering freshmen with a four year, cumulative grade point average of no less than 85% or 3.0. Scholarship recipients are required to complete and document 30 hours of community service. To apply for the scholarship,
submit an application to Medaille College, College Relations, Attn: Allen Lee Downing Memorial Scholarship, 18 Agassiz Circle, Buffalo, NY, 14214 by March 1, 2010.
ALP Scholarship
Medaille College is sponsoring a $500 scholarship for non-traditional students enrolled in the Accelerated Learning Program.
The following are general requirements for those who wish to apply for the scholarship:

Must be an adult student (23 years old or older)

Must be seeking a bachelor's or master's degree

Must be currently enrolled into the Accelerated Learning Program.

Worth of degree to applicant: Why do you want this degree? How will you use it? In what ways will earning a bachelor's or master's degree change your life?

Indications of success: Describe the attitudes, traits, characteristics, and experiences that make you believe that you will be successful in the Accelerated Learning Program. Describe how you will positively affect the success of your study group members.

Need: Why do you need this scholarship?

Other: Describe other roles or circumstances that we should consider in evaluating your application that would show your creativity, volunteerism, public service, or leadership abilities.
Although the financial need of a student will be considered in this selection process, it is not the dominant criterion.
Heidi A. Raphael Communication ScholarshipThe Heidi A. Raphael Communication Scholarship is awarded annually to an outstanding student currently participating in the Communication Program. The applicant must have a sophomore or junior standing with at least a 3.0 GPA for the Spring 2010 semester. The recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the 2010-11 academic year. To apply, complete the
scholarship application and return to the Office of College Relations (73 H) by March 1, 2010.
