Mary Ellen
Mulvey, Ph.D. has been elected to represent New York and New Jersey
TRIO programs on the Council for Opportunity In Education’s (COE) board
of directors.
COE is a nonprofit organization, established in 1981, dedicated to
furthering the expansion of college opportunities for low-income,
first-generation students and students with disabilities throughout the
United States. Its membership includes more than 1,000 colleges and
agencies. Through its numerous membership services, the Council works
in conjunction with colleges, universities, and agencies that host TRIO
programs to specifically help more than one million low-income students
enter college and graduate.
Dr. Mulvey is the senior director for community partnerships at
Medaille, and works closely with the College's TRIO program and other
academic support services based in the Student Success Center.
Graduate programs run year-round at the Medaille's Amherst Campus, including education, mental health counseling, and psychology degrees, along with the Accelerated Learning Program.
With a location in the town of Brighton, Medaille dedicated its campus in Rochester in the summer of 2009, offering associate, bachelor's and master's degrees in business.
