Alumni Start for the Queen City Futbol Club
Tuesday, May 29, 2007
Medaille alumni Andrew Larracuente '07, Cory Cwiklinski '07,
and Jeremy Watson '07 are all starters on Buffalo’s local NPSL team, the
Queen City Futbol Club.
So far QCFC has played three matches and Larracuente has played
every minute thus far. He leads the team from his central back position. “Watching Andrew play as dominating as he has at such a high
level of soccer is really a tribute to all of hard work he put into it
here for us, his attitude, work rate, and support he has received from
his family,” said Coach Daniel Krzyzanowicz, Medaille head coach.
Cwiklinski started and played every minute in the first two matches at the
central midfield position before missing the third match due to other
obligations. “Cory is a great midfielder and is playing well thus far,
but had he kept healthy this past fall, he probably would be playing in
a higher level of USL soccer. Hopefully, he will grow from this
experience and maybe be able to move to a higher level
of soccer,”said Coach Krzyzanowicz.
Watson, who signed late with the team, played all 90 minutes in the team's
most recent match this past weekend. “Jeremy is a fierce competitor
and will no doubt help make the team a better club,” said Coach
Krzyzanowicz.
