Alum of the Month: Jill Azzarello '02 BBA. '05 MBA

Jill Azzarello has turned her education from Medaille College into significant professional success.

Upon completing her undergraduate work, Azzarello posted her resume on Monster.com and was hired by IIMAK, North America’s leading manufacturer of thermal transfer ribbons, where she has worked for three and a half years.

“Medaille’s business administration program offerd the structure I needed as a young student,” Azzarello says. “And it prepared me to go into the job market.”

Azzarello is very ambitious and pursued her MBC in an effort to advance her career, and Medaille was the right fit.

“The MBA program at Medaille was more flexible, which made it possible for me to pursue that second degree,” Azzarello recalls. “My master’s degree is what has helped me to get ahead, and I still refer back to our marketing plan to make sure I cover everything.”

Azzarello currently works in the marketing department at Sherex industries in Lancaster, NY, named one of the Best Places to Work in WNY in 2006 by Buffalo Business First. She spent her first 18 months with Sherex focusing on communications and product launches, and has seen her responsibilities steadily increase since starting.

Azzarello currently resides in Cheektowaga and is engaged to be married to Frank Caffrey on June 7, 2008.
