Medaille College held a "Take Back the Night" event on Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m. at its Buffalo Campus.
Brandi Sutherland of Crisis Services’ Advocate Program will be the
keynote speaker for the event, which takes place in conjunction with the
New York State Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April.
Take Back the Night walks are designed to raise awareness of sexual violence in all forms.
Thousands of colleges, women’s centers and community organizations
throughout the United States hold similar events each year. This year,
participants were encouraged to bring donations of comfort items for
survivors of violence to receive at the hospital, including items like
toothpaste and toothbrushes, socks, deodorant and new clothing.
Graduate programs run year-round at the Medaille's Amherst Campus, including education, mental health counseling, and psychology degrees, along with the Accelerated Learning Program.
With a location in the town of Brighton, Medaille dedicated its campus in Rochester in the summer of 2009, offering associate, bachelor's and master's degrees in business.
